Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams
Hyderabad: The Chief Minister's Office (CMO) has announced the launch of a special online portal for state ministers, MPs, MLAs, and MLCs to submit recommendation letters to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) electronically. According to a statement from the CMO, it is now mandatory for public representatives to register their recommendation letters on the portal at https://cmottd.telangana.gov.in.
In a move to streamline the process and ensure transparency, the state government has issued guidelines for recommendation letters related to darshan at TTD. On Friday, CMO Special Secretary Vemula Srinivas communicated these guidelines in a letter addressed to ministers, MPs, MLAs, and MLCs. The CMO emphasized that TTD will only accept letters generated through the newly created portal, which requires details of devotees and their darshan requests.
Public representatives have been instructed to upload scanned copies of signed recommendation letters to the portal and provide the original letters to the devotees. For access, the same login credentials used for the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) portal should be utilized for the TTD darshan portal.
This online system was introduced to address issues such as public representatives exceeding their quotas for issuing recommendation letters, which had previously caused inconvenience to devotees visiting Tirumala. The new guidelines specify that recommendation letters for darshan should only be issued from Monday to Thursday. Each public representative is limited to issuing one letter per day. VIP break darshan will be available on Monday and Tuesday, with accommodation facilities provided. On Wednesday and Thursday, darshan will be offered at a cost of Rs. 300, but no accommodation will be available.
Devotees are required to carry the original recommendation letter when visiting TTD. In cases where minor children do not possess Aadhaar cards, they must bring their birth certificates, the CMO clarified.
