Southern Command Chief Seth Takes Charge As Army Vice Chief

Hyderabad: Lt Gen. Dhiraj Seth relinquished command of the Southern Command on Tuesday after completing his tenure, the Defence Bureau said in a statement issued from Secunderabad.

He laid a wreath at the Southern Command War Memorial and reviewed a Guard of Honour at the headquarters on the occasion. In his message, he urged personnel to maintain operational readiness and focus on technology adoption and evolving warfighting capabilities.

Lt Gen. Seth assumed charge as Vice Chief of Army Staff from Wednesday. Officials said his tenure saw emphasis on operational preparedness and organisational changes within the Southern Command.
