SOT Malkajgiri Booked 16 Cases Against Unauthorised Medical Practitioners
The cases were detected at various locations, including Boduppal, Mallapur, Uppal, Secunderabad, Keesara, Jawaharnagar, Karkhana, Begumpet, Alwal, Nagole, Chaitanyapuri, Abdullapurmet and Hayathnagar.
Hyderabad: Special Operations Team (SOT) of Malkajgiri commissionerate, booked 16 cases against persons found unauthorisedly operating clinics/first-aid centres without complying with the prescribed legal and regulatory requirements.
The cases were detected at various locations, including Boduppal, Mallapur, Uppal, Secunderabad, Keesara, Jawaharnagar, Karkhana, Begumpet, Alwal, Nagole, Chaitanyapuri, Abdullapurmet and Hayathnagar.
During the inspections, persons allegedly practising medicine without the requisite qualifications or registrations were identified, and cases were registered accordingly, Malkajgiri police commissioner B. Sumati said.
The persons concerned and relevant case materials were handed over to the respective police stations for further investigation, Sumati said. During 2026, the Malkajgiri police conducted sustained and special enforcement drives against persons illegally practising medicine and 111 cases were registered and 114 fake medical practitioners were apprehended, she further said.
