Sonia Gandhi Praises Revanth’s Vision for Telangana

CPP chairperson expresses confidence in Telangana Rising 2047 vision and growth plans

Hyderabad: Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday appreciated the performance of the Congress government in Telangana and praised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s vision and leadership in steering the state on a progressive path.

She expressed confidence that the state would achieve its long-term goals in line with the Telangana Rising 2047 Vision Document, according to a media statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office on Tuesday.

Revanth Reddy on Tuesday met Mrs Gandhi in Delhi and presented her the bision document, which lays out the government’s long-term roadmap for inclusive growth, social justice and sustainable development. He also briefed Mrs Gandhi on the Telangana Rising Global Summit held at Bharat Future City and highlighted its outcomes.

Revanth Reddy outlined key policy initiatives aimed at accelerating development across sectors and detailed plans focused on strengthening social security, expanding infrastructure, boosting economic growth and ensuring balanced regional development.

The Chief Minister recalled that ahead of the summit, Sonia Gandhi had written to him on December 5, lauding his initiative to organise the summit and describing it as a timely effort to accelerate the state’s development agenda. In her letter, she expressed confidence that the summit would emerge as a major milestone in Telangana’s journey towards becoming a $1 trillion economy by 2034.

She had noted that the summit provided an important platform for global and domestic stakeholders to engage with the state government on emerging projects and long-term growth strategies. Sonia Gandhi had also highlighted Telangana’s three-pronged development model, which focuses on urban expansion, peri-urban improvement and rural-agro advancement, observing that it reflected a holistic approach aimed at unlocking the state’s full economic and social potential.
