Search On for Software Engineer Who Jumped into Durgam Cheruvu

Hyderabad: A 25-year-old software engineer died by suicide after jumping into Durgam Cheruvu from the cable bridge in Hyderabad on Monday.

According to Madhapur police, the deceased was identified as Rajesh, who was staying at a hostel in Nacharam. A native of Visakhapatnam and was working at a private IT firm. He went to meet his friends in Madhapur on Monday before heading to the cable bridge and jumping into the lake.

Based on a complaint filed by his sister, police registered a case and initiated an investigation.

Teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and Disaster Response Force (DRF) are searching for his body.
