Social Media Snafu: BRS Leader Krishank Falls for Imposter Account

Hyderabad: A social media blunder has emerged as BRS leader Manne Krishank fell victim to an imposter account. Krishank, in a strongly worded post on X, quote-tweeted what he believed to be an official handle, saying, "I'm quote-tweeting this so that this post stays on my Timeline until 2028, when Shri KCR returns as CM. The 'Bulldozer Man,' Head of HYDRAA, Ranganath 'garu,' must explain why he lowered his standards as an officer to create this political poster. Please take note, @KTRBRS."
This reaction stemmed from a post by @HYDRAA_TG, an unofficial HYDRAA handle, which Krishank mistakenly believed to be authentic. The post in question criticised former CM KCR's remarks at the BRS Silver Jubilee celebration, stating, "At the Pink Party's Silver Jubilee, KCR, the former CM, really went off on HYDRAA. He talked nonsense without knowing the facts. KCR really lowered himself with those ignorant comments."
The post was a direct response to KCR's outburst against HYDRAA during the BRS event.
Subsequently, the official HYDRAA handle issued a clarification, asserting its apolitical stance: "HYDRAA is beyond politics. HYDRAA operates independently of political affiliations. HYDRAA has no connection to posts made under the name 'HYDRAA Warriors.' If anyone links HYDRAA and adds political elements to posts, HYDRAA will take legal action against them. The primary goals of HYDRAA are the protection and restoration of water bodies, safeguarding government and public utility lands, and supporting people during natural disasters. HYDRAA has always remained distant from politics. HYDRAA does not create political posts."
