Skyroot Aerospace Founders Meet Modi, Showcase Vikram-1 Success
Founders Pawan Chandana and Naga Bharath Daka brief PM on mission milestone and future roadmap; PM highlights role of IN-SPACe and ISRO in boosting private space ecosystem
Hyderabad: Founders of private aerospace startup Skyroot Aerospace on Monday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and briefed him on the company’s journey and the successful mission of its launch vehicle Vikram-1.
Co-founders Pawan Chandana and Naga Bharath Daka shared details of the mission and outlined their long-term vision for expanding India’s footprint in the global space sector.
According to the company, the Prime Minister discussed Skyroot’s technology roadmap, future opportunities, and the potential of India’s private space ecosystem. He also encouraged young entrepreneurs and expressed confidence in the country’s growing innovation landscape.
Skyroot Aerospace credited policy reforms that opened up the space sector to private players, along with support from IN-SPACe and collaboration with ISRO, for enabling startups to develop and launch advanced space technologies.
“The journey has only just begun,” the company said, reiterating its ambition to take India’s space capabilities to the global stage.
