Six Hurt In Stray Dog Attack On I-Day

Nalgonda: Six people were injured in a stray dog attack at the venue of Independence Day celebrations in Thungathurthy, Suryapet district, on Friday.

A pack of five dogs attacked Eguri Santhosha, an employee of the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS), while she was making arrangements for the celebrations at the Zilla Praja Parishad High School grounds. She sustained multiple bite injuries on her hands and legs. Locals rushed to her aid and chased away the dogs.

The stray dogs then attacked five more people, including Yelagandula Sai, Rachakonda Venkanna, S. Lingamma, and M. Ravai, as they were arriving at the school for the event. They also sustained injuries.

All the injured were shifted to the Community Health Centre in Thungathurthy for treatment.
