SIT Notice To Mahbubnagar MLA Yennam In Phone-Tapping Case
Mahbubnagar MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy was served a notice by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the alleged unauthorised phone tapping case and asked to appear for questioning in connection with Crime No. 243, police said.

In the notice issued under Section 160 CrPC, SIT Investigation Officer P. Venkatagiri, Assistant Commissioner of Police, stated that the investigation had revealed that Srinivas Reddy was acquainted with facts and circumstances relevant to the case.
The officer said an earlier notice had been issued to the MLA on July 7, 2025, seeking his appearance before the SIT. The latest communication has been treated as a second notice.
Srinivas Reddy was directed to appear in person before the investigating officer at 11 am on Monday at the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC), Commissioner’s Office, for examination as part of the ongoing investigation.
Earlier, Srinivas Reddy had lodged a complaint with then city police commissioner Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy alleging that his phone had been tapped by the Telangana State Level Agency (TSLA) during the tenure of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government.
