SIT Completes Second Interrogation of Phone-Tapping Witness Aara Mastan
Mastan believes the probe is nearing its conclusion

Hyderabad: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) in Hyderabad, which is investigating the high-profile phone-tapping case, has concluded its second round of questioning with key witness Aara Mastan. Officials spent nearly two-and-a-half hours with Mastan on Friday, during which they recorded his statement again.
Mastan informed the media that the investigators were seeking to clarify details he had previously provided and cross-check them against the disclosures made by the main accused, Prabhakar Rao. He further stated that the SIT presented him with technical data regarding the alleged surveillance of his phones. Based on this evidence, Mastan reaffirmed his earlier claim that two of his phones had been under surveillance since 2020.
Expressing optimism, Mastan believes the probe is nearing its conclusion, noting the involvement of senior officers leading the SIT and the examination of important witnesses. He indicated that he might be summoned for further questioning within the next week, expressing hope that the case would soon reach its logical end.
