SIR: Asad Urges CEO to Share Pre-SIR Data With BLAs for Ensuring Smooth Conduct of Exercise
Speaking to media persons at the MIM headquarters Darussalam, Owaisi said he had met with Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) C. Sudarshan Reddy to discuss the modalities.

Hyderabad:Ahead of the Election Commission undertaking the special intensive revision (SIR) of the electoral roll in Telangana, AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi urged Election Commission that the data collected during large-scale pre-surveys be shared with party-recognised booth level agents (BLAs) so they can assist the booth level officers (BLOs) and help voters towards ensuring smooth completion of the exercise.
Speaking to media persons at the MIM headquarters Darussalam, Owaisi said he had met with Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) C. Sudarshan Reddy to discuss the modalities.
“Since the 2002 details won’t be attached with the enrolment form, we have requested the CEO to equip not only BLOs, but share the pre-SIR mapping data collected with the BLAs so that the procedure becomes simpler, otherwise things would become inflexible,” Hyderabad MP noted.
The AIMIM chief said that there are no clear instructions for voters whose names are not in the electoral roll of 2025. “We sought a clarification for those whose names are not in the latest electoral roll: Will submitting Form 6 along with the declaration form ensure their inclusion in the draft list,” he asked.
“It has also come to our attention that some electors are not first-time voters but their names have been deleted from the electoral roll for unknown reasons. When such electors submit Form 6, their forms are being rejected with the reason that they are not first-time voters. Kindly clarify how such cases should be handled,” Owaisi said.
The MIM chief reiterated that the enumeration form should contain the mapped data, including the matching voter details from both the 2002 and 2025 electoral rolls. “In case the mapped data is faulty, the elector should have the option to download an online version of the enumeration form containing only the 2025 details. This would allow the elector to correct the incorrect 2002 details and resubmit the form to the BLO after fulfilling all other requirements.
Alternatively, BLOs could be provided with booth-wise details of mapped and unmapped data. When BLOs visit house to house during enumeration, they could share that information with voters, making it easier for them to fill out the form,” he emphasised.
