NSPCL to procure coal from Singareni for Durgapur plant
Hyderabad:The national power generator NTPC-SAIL Power Company Limited (NSPCL), a joint venture between NTPC and SAIL, has signed an agreement to procure five lakh tonnes of coal from the SCCL for its thermal power plant in Durgapur, Chhattisgarh.
The pact was finalised under the guidance of SCCL chairman and managing director N. Balaram. SCCL’s executive director for coal movement S.D.M. Subhani, general manager N.V. Rajasekhara Rao, along with NSPCL CEO Diwakar Kaushal and general managers Neel Kamal and Palash, signed the agreement.
According to the terms, SCCL will supply coal consistently to NSPCL’s Durgapur plant, ensuring an uninterrupted fuel supply to support power generation in the region. This partnership marks a significant milestone in securing energy requirements and strengthening industrial cooperation between the two organisations.
