Singareni Should Become Mine Of Jobs: Bhatti
Dy CM urges Singareni to become mine of jobs

Hyderabad:Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said that providing employment to the state’s youth is a key priority of the people’s government and called on the Singareni Collieries Company to transform itself into a “mine of jobs” for Telangana.
Speaking after distributing appointment letters to Rajiv Yuva Vikasam beneficiaries at Jyotirao Phule Praja Bhavan on Friday, Bhatti said the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), with its 130-year legacy, should move beyond coal mining and emerge as a major employment generator. He said every employee — from junior staff to the CMD — shared equal responsibility in ensuring the company’s growth. “Discipline and hard work are essential. Complacency today will become a crisis tomorrow,” he warned, urging employees to uphold rules and standards for the organisation’s long-term benefit.
The Deputy Chief Minister noted that the state government responded positively to requests from workers and unions to increase the age limit for compassionate appointments. With the revised age relaxation, hundreds who had crossed the 35-year threshold are now eligible for jobs, he said.
He pointed out that SCCL now operated in a competitive open market, and urged workers to reduce production costs and maintain full working hours to safeguard the company’s future. He added that the company is expanding into other sectors and states and that the success of these ventures depends on collective dedication. Bhatti advised the newly appointed employees to perform their duties sincerely and avoid seeking easier postings.
Bhatti announced that appointment letters would be distributed to beneficiaries of the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme on the state formation day on June 2. The scheme was launched with Rs. 9,000 crore to provide large-scale self-employment opportunities to the unemployed.
SCCL CMD N. Balaram thanked the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister for approving the unprecedented age relaxation, calling it a humane decision that brought light to many families. The event was attended by director (P&P, personnel) K. Venkateswarlu, Officers’ Association president Lakshmipathi Goud, GM (personnel & IR) P.M. Kavitha Naidu and other senior officials.
