Singareni Introduces Facial Recognition Attendance System In Kothagudem
The system was introduced on Monday as part of the company’s initiative: Reports

HYDERABAD: Singareni has introduced a facial recognition-based attendance system on a trial basis in the Kothagudem area to improve transparency in employee attendance management.
The system was introduced on Monday as part of the company’s initiative to adopt advanced technology.
Biometric attendance is already in use at some General Manager’s offices in Singareni. However, this is the first time the system is being implemented across the mines and departments of an entire area.
The management expects the system to promote discipline and punctuality among employees. Automated attendance recording is also expected to improve transparency and productivity.
Singareni has around 40,000 employees, of whom about 1,600 work in the Kothagudem area. The pilot project began on Monday, with attendance recorded without any issues on the first day. Employees expressed satisfaction with the system.
The initiative will subsequently be extended to mines and departments in other areas.
