Sikhs Celebrate Baisakhi In Hyderabad
Devotees participated in Gurbani keertans, sermons by Ragi jathas, and a Nagar Keertan procession organised by Gurudwara Saheb, Ameerpet.

Hyderabad: Sikhs celebrated Baisakhi on Tuesday with large-scale events at the Sri Guru Gobind Singhji Playground in Ameerpet. The events commemorate the 327th Khalsa Panth Foundation Day.
Devotees participated in Gurbani keertans, sermons by Ragi jathas, and a Nagar Keertan procession organised by Gurudwara Saheb, Ameerpet. The celebrations included carrying Shri Guru Granth Sahib on a palanquin, displaying “Gatka” skills, and serving Guru ka Langar.
The main congregation was held at Sri Guru Gobind Singhji Playground, Ameerpet, under the Prabhandak Committee of Gurudwara Saheb Ameerpet. Hundreds of devotees, along with members of other communities, attended the “Vishaal Deewan”. The congregation began on Saturday morning and continued till 5 pm, featuring recitations of Gurbani keertans and Kathas by invited Ragi jathas and preachers from across the country.
Among those who rendered keertans and sermons were Bhai S Gurdev Singh (Australia), Gyani Gagandeep Singhji (Patna Sahib), Bhai S Manpreet Singhji (Delhi) and Bhai Veer Singh (Hyderabad). The sermons focused on the founding of the Khalsa Panth and emphasised values of daily conduct, while calling upon devotees to follow the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib for national integration, communal harmony, brotherhood and peace.
The “Nagar Keertan” procession began at Gurudwara Saheb Ameerpet, passing through Greenlands, Begumpet and Punjagutta before returning in the evening. Shabad keertans were rendered by men, women and youth groups during the procession.
