Sigachi Blast Toll at 44; NDMA Team to Visit Site

Debris at the site of an explosion at the Sigachi Industries' pharma plant, at Pashamylaram in Sangareddy district, Telangana.
Sangareddy: The death toll in the Sigachi Industries explosion has risen to 44 after two more victims undergoing treatment succumbed to their injuries. The deceased have been identified as Arif and Akhileshwar.
A team from the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) is scheduled to visit the Sigachi facility on Tuesday. In coordination with the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA), the team will study the cause of the explosion and submit a detailed report to both the state and central governments.
