Siddipet Panchayat Secretary, Private Employee Held in Bribe Case

Hyderabad: The sleuths of Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday arrested B. Aruna, Panchayat Secretary of Jakkapur village in Siddipet’s Narayanaraopet Mandal along with contract employee Dasari Santhosh in connection with a bribe case.
The duo was caught red-handed when they were demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.15,000 from the complainant for doing an official favour. The bribe was demanded for forwarding and processing the mutation application file for two houses on the complainant's name.
Initially, Aruna demanded a bribe of Rs.20,000, which was subsequently reduced to Rs.15,000. The tainted bribe amount of Rs.15,000 was recovered from the possession of Aruna and Santhosh. The details of the complainant are withheld for security reasons.
