Shivadhar Reddy Warns of Strict Action on Corruption, Urges Integrity
While many uphold these values, recent ACB actions are a reminder that deviation will invite strict consequences: DGP

Hyderabad: Director-General of Police B Shivadhar Reddy instructed every officer, from Home Guards to IPS officers, to serve with integrity, compassion, and accountability.
While many uphold these values, recent ACB actions are a reminder that deviation will invite strict consequences. “Our goal remains clear – Fair, Firm, Friendly and Professional. Anyone can report corruption to 1064,” he said in a post on ‘X’.
Shivadhar Reddy’s message assumed significance following the arrest of several police personnel by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in connection with bribe cases.
Two days ago, the ACB nabbed U. K. Siddeshwar, a Sub-Inspector of Police (SI) and Sampathi Kanakaiah, Inspector RGIA Police Outpost, when they demanded a bribe of Rs.5 lakh and accepted a bribe amount of Rs.2 lakh from the complainant.
The bribe was accepted as part payment of the demanded bribe amount for doing an official favor for filing the charge sheet and not to involve and arrest the family members of the complainant in a case registered at the RGIA police station in Shamshabad.
The ACB officials said both the Inspector and SI performed their duties improperly and dishonestly to obtain undue advantage.
