Shamshabad: Cab Driver Attempts to Assault IndiGo Employee

Hyderabad: A cab driver allegedly attempted to sexually assault an IndiGo employee while she was travelling from her residence to the airport for her night shift.

According to police, the driver allegedly diverted the cab to a secluded area near Shamshabad Airport and attempted to assault her. However, the woman resisted the attack and managed to escape.

The victim lodged a complaint with the Airport Outpost Police at Shamshabad. The accused fled the scene before the police arrived.

Police have registered a case and launched an investigation. Efforts are underway to trace and apprehend the cab driver.

Following the incident, airport authorities took the matter seriously and conducted a review of the safety measures in place for women employees. They also urged the concerned authorities to strengthen security arrangements for women travelling to and from work.
