Shabbir Offers Silk Garments Goddess For Bonalu

KAMAREDDY: The Bonalu festival was celebrated on Sunday at the Domakonda mandal headquarters, in collaboration with the Sri Chamundeshwari Temple Committee and the endowment department. A large number of women took part in the street procession through Domakonda.
Mohd. Ali Shabbir, adviser to the state government, served as the chief guest and offered silk garments to Goddess Sri Chamundeshwari. He said that, with the goddess’s blessings, he is able to serve the people effectively and fulfil his duties. “Participating in the Bonalu festival is a wonderful opportunity for me,” he added.
B. Prabhu, executive officer of the endowments department, members of the Sri Chamundeshwari Temple Committee and other dignitaries were present. Many former Domakonda residents now living elsewhere in Telangana and across the country also attended the festival.
