Shabbir, Mahesh Launch Rs 60 Crore Worth Works in Nizamabad
They said the government was committed to making Nizamabad a leader in all sectors

NIZAMABAD: Government advisor Mohammed Shabbir Ali and Legislative council member B. Mahesh Kumar Goud said that under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, development works in Nizamabad are being taken up as a continuous process to provide better facilities to the public.
Along with Urban MLA Dhanpal Suryanarayana Gupta, additional collector Ankit and others, they laid foundation stones on Sunday for several development works in different divisions of the city.
At Vinayaknagar, foundation stones were laid for internal roads, CC drains and culverts to be taken up across various divisions at a cost of Rs 60 crore from TUFIDC funds. The leaders also inspected the site near the Phulang Rythu Bazaar, where an advanced indoor electric sub-station is proposed to be set up at a cost of about `6 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, Shabbir Ali and Mahesh Kumar Goud said the government was spending crores of rupees on roads, drainage and drinking water supply to improve civic amenities. They said the government was committed to making Nizamabad a leader in all sectors.
They added that unlike earlier, funds are now being allocated without discrimination, with ₹1 crore each sanctioned for all 60 divisions. Priority is being given to drainage improvement, internal roads and street lighting.
Since the present government came to power, over ₹500 crore has already been spent on the city’s development. The leaders said their aim was to develop Nizamabad into a “Model City”.
NUDA chairman Kesha Venu, former MLC Arkela Narsa Reddy, Municipal commissioner Dilip Kumar, Transco SE Rajeshwar Rao, DE Srinivas, ADE Thota Rajashekhar and district Congress committee president G. Nagesh Reddy were among those present.
