HYDERABAD: Two persons were arrested and one woman was rescued for alleged prostitution, following a police raid at an apartment in Quthbullapur in Petbasheerabad, on Wednesday morning.
According to Petbasheerabad police, the raid was conducted around 8 am based on a tip-off, in the presence of two witnesses.
During the operation, the police apprehended a woman allegedly running the sex racket, a customer and a woman identified as the victim.
Three smartphones and other things were seized from the premises.
Based on the findings, the police registered a case. The woman accused of organising the racket was arrested and remanded to judicial custody. The victim was shifted to a women’s shelter home for care and rehabilitation.
Further investigation into the incident is underway.
