Hyderabad: In yet another setback for the banned CPI (Maoist) party, a senior Maoist leader Bandi Prakash alias BP alias Prabhath surrendered before Telangana police. He is now a State committee member before working in various wings in the party.
Hailing from Mandamarri in Mancherial district, Prakash was underground since 1987 and was carrying a reward of Rs.20 lakh. He was then incharge of Singareni Coal Belt Committee Labour Wing.
A few weeks ago, a top Maoist leader Mallojula Venugopal Rao (69) alias Bhupati alias Sonu, from Telangana’s Peddapalli town, surrendered to the police in Maharashtra’s Gadchiroli district on October 14.
