Seethakka Says Govt Committed to Resolving Grievances at Field Level
She said the initiative was drawing a strong public response as it brought governance closer to people.

Warangal: Panchayat raj minister Seethakka on Thursday said the state government is committed to resolving public grievances at the field level, while addressing a ‘Praja Darbar’ in Laxmipuram village of Kannaigudem mandal in Mulugu district.
The programme, held as part of the 99-day ‘Praja Palana’ plan, saw residents from 10 villages, including Tupakulagudem, Laxmipuram, Rajannapet and Muppanapalli, submit petitions. The minister, along with ITDA project officer Lenin Vatsal Toppo, ASP Manan and additional collector Ch. Mahendar ji, received the applications.
She said the initiative was drawing a strong public response as it brought governance closer to people. She noted that conducting such programmes in backward areas like Kannaigudem mandal reflected a shift towards proactive administration.
The minister said officials were visiting remote villages to address issues of the rural poor without requiring them to travel to government offices. She added that while several grievances were being resolved on the spot, others involving technical issues were being processed within set timelines to ensure transparency.
She said officials and public representatives must work together “like a pair of bullocks” to ensure rural development.
The minister also inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development works worth about Rs 3.4 crore in the mandal, including a gram panchayat building at Laxmipuram and internal CC roads and drainage works.
She launched a road project from Boregudem to the ST Colony, estimated at Rs 1.45 crore, aimed at improving connectivity for tribal habitations.
The minister directed officials to prioritise petitions received during the programme and ensure applicants are informed about the status of their cases.
