Second Phase Web Options Opened for MDS Admissions
The second phase is being conducted for vacant seats in government and private dental colleges affiliated to the university.
Hyderabad:The Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) has invited eligible candidates to exercise web options for the second phase of counselling for Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) admissions under the Competent Authority Quota for the 2026-27 academic year.
The exercise started at 2 pm on Tuesday and will conclude at 2 pm on Wednesday, September 30, on the designated online counselling portal. The second phase is being conducted for vacant seats in government and private dental colleges affiliated to the university.
Candidates who were allotted seats in the first phase and joined their respective colleges can participate in the second phase for sliding. Those who were allotted seats in the first phase but did not report or discontinued the course are not eligible. Candidates who did not exercise web options during the first phase are also barred from participating in the second phase as per the applicable government orders.
There is no restriction on the number of choices that candidates can enter. The university has advised candidates to select all preferred specialties and colleges, including those where seats are not currently shown as vacant, as vacancies may arise during the counselling process due to sliding.
If a candidate is allotted a new seat based on the options exercised in the second phase, the seat allotted in the first phase will be cancelled automatically and offered to another candidate. Candidates allotted a seat in the second phase who fail to join the college within the prescribed time will not be allowed to exercise web options in subsequent counselling rounds.
