SCR Reviews Summer Safety, Nampally Fire
Srivastava instructed officials to be proactive in maintaining the Fire and Smoke Detection System: Reports

HYDERABAD: The South-Central Railway (SCR) held a review meeting on challenges during peak summer and the recent fire accident at Nampally railway station. General manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, emphasising the safety of rolling stock, directed officials to strictly adhere to guidelines. The meeting discussed preliminary details of the fire involving the Hyderabad–Jaipur special train on Friday at Nampally.
Srivastava instructed officials to be proactive in maintaining the Fire and Smoke Detection System. He also stressed intensified patrolling along railway tracks to prevent accidents.
Attention was drawn to points and crossings, with the general manager reviewing track safety issues such as cable damage, incidents of unauthorised entry, barricading works and cabling operations within the zone.
He also reviewed ongoing infrastructure projects including yard remodelling, signal upgrades and construction of footpaths on bridges. Directives were issued to expedite these works to ensure completion within set targets.
