SCR Reviews Safety of Train Operations
Srinvastava reviewed the summary of safety inspections and instructed officials to counsel staff to take precautions at stations and on tracks to face challenges of the monsoon season.

Hyderabad:South Central Railway General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava stressed on safety precautions to be followed at worksites and construction sites. At a meeting with senior officials, he advised officials to provide fencing around construction sites and take precautions at vulnerable locations near deep excavation pits to prevent accidental falls and untoward incidents.
Srinvastava reviewed the summary of safety inspections and instructed officials to counsel staff to take precautions at stations and on tracks to face challenges of the monsoon season.
He also examined initiatives undertaken by engineering, signal and telecommunications, mechanical and electrical departments. He stressed that deficiencies noticed during inspections must be rectified promptly to ensure seamless train operations.
On track safety, he reviewed trespassing incidents at closed level crossing gates. He instructed divisions to identify vulnerable locations and take preventive measures like trenching and barricading to restrict trespassing, and to organise awareness programmes to educate nearby villagers.
