SCR: Railway Passengers Can Get Travel Insurance for 45 Paise

Passengers can avail of the insurance by paying a premium of just ₹0.45 per passenger. Digital payment is mandatory to avail of the facility.

Hyderabad: South Central Railway (SCR) has extended the facility of optional travel insurance to passengers booking reserved tickets at railway reservation counters from October 27, 2026.
Passengers can avail of the insurance by paying a premium of just ₹0.45 per passenger. Digital payment is mandatory to avail of the facility.
The insurance details will be sent to the passenger’s registered mobile number, SCR said. The facility aims to provide passengers with additional financial protection during their train journeys.
