SCR GM Takes Stock Of Monsoon Readiness

Hyderabad:In view of the monsoon season, a high-level review meeting was convened by the officials of the South Central Railway (SCR) on Saturday. The focus of the meeting was to evaluate zone’s readiness to tackle challenges posed by heavy rains as well as ensuring uninterrupted and safe train operations.
Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, general manager of the SCR, was presiding over the meeting, which was attended by all the zonal heads. Earlier, the GM inspected the disaster management room, emphasising the importance of 24x7 operational readiness. He also monitored live feeds from vulnerable locations and directed officials to maintain close coordination with local and state government authorities for real-time ground-level updates.
The review meeting also gave thrust on keeping close watch on vulnerable infrastructure such as bridges, tunnels and road under bridges (RUBs) and other areas prone to waterlogging during rainy season.
