SCR Cracks Down on Unauthorised Vendors at Kazipet, Warangal Stations

WARANGAL: The South Central Railway (SCR), Secunderabad Division, has intensified its drive against unauthorised hawkers and vendors at Kazipet and Warangal railway stations to ensure passenger safety and maintain food quality and hygiene.
During a special inspection conducted from July 28 to 31, railway officials identified and took action against 33 unauthorised hawkers and vendors operating without valid permission. All were penalised.
According to railway officials, vendors found selling food and other items without valid railway authorisation, identity cards or the required documents were handed over to the Railway Protection Force (RPF) for further action. The drive was conducted jointly by the Commercial Department and the RPF.
SCR officials said such enforcement drives would continue regularly to ensure a safe, clean and well-regulated environment at railway stations. They advised passengers to purchase food and other items only from authorised railway vendors to ensure quality, hygiene and safety.
The railway authorities reiterated their commitment to curbing unauthorised vending and improving passenger amenities across stations in the Secunderabad Division.
