SCR Campaigns for Submission of Life Certificates From Home

Hyderabad: South Central Railway (SCR) on Wednesday unveiled posters for Digital Life Certificate Campaign 5.0, a month-long drive from November 1 to 30 aimed at simplifying the submission of life certificates by pensioners.
Pensioners are required to submit their life certificates in November to ensure uninterrupted pension payments.
The digital facility allows them to complete the process from their homes using Aadhaar-based biometric authentication, eliminating the need to visit pension-disbursing offices.
The authentication system also enhances security and reduces the risk of fraudulent claims.
The Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare, in collaboration with the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), has introduced face authentication to further simplify the process for government pensioners.
More than 1.09 crore digital life certificates were generated during 2025-26, with their use growing steadily across successive campaigns.
