Scar Gives Away Burglar, Held in 48 Hours
Following the complaint, Jubilee Hills police examined CCTV footage from the area.
Hyderabad:A distinctive scar on the face of a burglar helped Jubilee Hills police identify and arrest him within 48 hours of a house burglary.
Though the accused used a mask and other methods to conceal his identity, a visible injury mark above his eyebrows and nose provided a crucial clue to investigators.
The burglary occurred at the residence of a prominent businessman on Road No. 10 in Jubilee Hills. The accused entered the house and stole valuables, including gold ornaments, from an almirah before fleeing. He then attempted to break into two other houses on the same road before successfully gaining entry into a third.
Following the complaint, Jubilee Hills police examined CCTV footage from the area. Although the suspect had taken precautions to avoid identification, investigators noticed the distinctive facial marks visible in the footage.
Police compared the suspect’s appearance with photographs of known offenders and eventually identified him as 27‑year‑old Gauresh. A special team tracked him down and took him into custody within 48 hours of the burglary. Stolen property, including gold ornaments, was recovered from his possession.
