SC to Rule on BRS Disqualification
BRS seeks Speaker’s action on disqualification of party turncoats; verdict awaited since April

Hyderabad: The Supreme Court will on Thursday pronounce its verdict on petitions filed by BRS leaders seeking a directive to the Telangana Legislative Assembly Speaker for timely action on disqualification proceedings against BRS MLAs who shifted allegiance to the ruling Congress.
The petitions, filed by BRS leaders K.T. Rama Rao, Padi Kaushik Reddy and K.P. Vivekanand, were heard by the Division Bench comprising Chief Justice of India Justice B.R. Gavai and Justice Augustine George Masih. The Bench had reserved its judgment on April 3.
