Sanjay Slams Cong., BRS; Hails Centre’s Funds

“I don’t know how to loot like KTR, put handcuffs on farmers and harass them, consume drugs, or engage in Kaleshwaram, e formula, power purchase scams, or farm house drug cases”: Bandi Sanjay Kumar

HYDERABAD: Union minister of state for home affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Friday claimed that Telangana’s development was possible only with Central funds and accused the Congress government of siphoning off state resources to the party high command in Delhi. He contrasted this with the BJP’s efforts to bring funds from the national capital.

Taking part in a bike rally at RTC crossroads along with Rajya Sabha MP Dr K. Laxman and hundreds of party workers to mobilise support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public meeting at Parade Ground on Sunday, Sanjay highlighted the Centre’s massive funding for Telangana’s growth. He said thousands of crores were being allocated for infrastructure and development projects. “Without central funds, Telangana’s progress is impossible,” he asserted.

Targeting BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao, Sanjay distanced himself from alleged misdeeds, declaring: “I don’t know how to loot like KTR, put handcuffs on farmers and harass them, consume drugs, or engage in Kaleshwaram, e‑formula, power purchase scams, or farm house drug cases.” He urged Rama Rao to “control his tongue” and blamed his arrogance for limiting former chief minister and party president K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s influence to the farm house, with even BRS workers reportedly exasperated.

Dismissing Chandrashekar Rao’s prospects, Sanjay predicted that the BJP’s would win next elections.

“Watch what happens after Modi’s meeting,” he said, seeking Telangana’s blessings for the Prime Minister during his visit.
