Hyderabad: Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju on Tuesday reviewed the situation arising from the El Niño impact in Telangana and directed officials to prepare a comprehensive drought assessment report by October-end.
The report will consider rainfall and 12 key parameters from the June–September monsoon season, with inputs from Planning, Revenue, Groundwater, Agriculture, Panchayat Raj and Rural Drinking Water Supply and other departments.
The comprehensive report will also prepare the basis for the proposed all-party meeting on the El Niño impact in the State.
