Sanitation Push: Ramky to Add 15 Vehicles in a Week as Malkajgiri Municipal Body Tightens Vigil
New fleet of 10 tippers, two Bobcats and three reserve vehicles aims to strengthen garbage collection and sanitation monitoring across Malkajgiri.

Following complaints and shortcomings in sanitation management, the Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC) has stepped up measures to improve garbage collection and transportation. As part of the efforts, contractor Ramky has agreed to procure 15 vehicles for the corporation within a week.
The new fleet will comprise 10 tippers, two Bobcats and three reserve vehicles, one for each of the corporation's three zones. The reserve vehicles will be used whenever regular vehicles break down or are sent for repairs to ensure that sanitation work is not affected.
The decision was taken at a review meeting chaired by MMC commissioner T. Vinay Krishna Reddy on Tuesday. The meeting assessed Ramky's performance and reviewed the shortcomings identified during the previous meeting held on October 30.
To improve field-level supervision, Ramky has appointed a field assistant for every ward, 14 circle in-charges for the corporation's 14 circles and zonal in-charges for all three zones. The company has also modified its online reporting system as per the corporation's requirements. A dedicated employee has been appointed at the MMC headquarters to cross-check online and offline sanitation reports, the release stated.
Daily consolidated reports will be submitted to the commissioner and additional commissioner. Deputy commissioners and zonal commissioners have also been provided separate login accounts to monitor sanitation operations and verify work progress online.
