Samithi Urges Vande Mataram Rendition, Tricolour Hoisting at Ganesh Pandals

Hyderabad: The Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi (BGUS) on Monday asked the organizers to sing Vande Mataram at pandals on September 17 to mark 150th anniversary celebrations of the national song and hoist national flag. Separate programs must be planned to teach Sanatana Dharma to the present generation during the festivity.
The samithi gave a call to this effect during its committee meeting organized with pandal organizers across the State at Pulla Reddy School in Moosapet. The meeting was chaired by samithi president G Raghava Reddy.
As many as 64 representatives from 32 centers across the state attended the meeting. The samithi said the Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated on September 14 and the procession to immersion idols will be conducted on September 25.

On the birth anniversary of senior VHP leader Ashok Singhal, programs that inspire Hindu social awareness should be organized. To successfully conduct the festival, meetings should be held at all centers by coordinating with all government departments at various levels.
As false propaganda is being spread in various forms against the festival, the organizers should counter it by providing comprehensive and accurate information to the public. Special programs should be organized at all district centers urging the government to take action against illegal foreign infiltrators.
Demanding that the state government ensure free power supply to pandals, he said special funds should be obtained through local bodies to make grand arrangements for the festivals. All committees should prepare local action plans to ensure that pandal organizers are not subjected to police harassment.
Youth must organize bhajans during the festival to promote spirituality and youth should be protected from the harmful influence of DJ culture. Only programs promoting patriotism and devotion to God should be conducted, he said.
