Sajjanar Inspects Bonalu Security at Laldarwaja Temple

Around 2,400 police personnel have been divided into two shifts and assigned security duties.

Hyderabad: City police commissioner V.C. Sajjanar on Sunday inspected the security arrangements at Lal Darwaja Sri Simhavahini Mahankali Ammavari Temple on the occasion of Ashada Masa Bonalu. After performing a special puja to the goddess, he greeted women devotees on the festival and assured them that the police had been deployed for their safety and security.

Around 2,400 police personnel have been divided into two shifts and assigned security duties. For the protection of devotees, crime teams have been deployed and picketing arranged at the temples, Sajjanar said.

He added that drones and additional CCTV cameras had been installed in the temple premises as well as along the procession routes, with a special command control room set up at Laldarwaja for monitoring.

Speaking to the media, Sajjanar said security arrangements had been made for 48 hours in the surrounding areas of the temple to ensure peaceful celebrations. He noted that with the cooperation of devotees, festivities were proceeding without problems.

He explained that the latest AI technology was being used to maintain law and order, with AI cameras constantly monitoring to quickly identify thieves and chain snatchers.
