S S Rajamouli, Mahesh Babu Receive Notices From Election Commission
The list includes many from the film industry such as actors Mahesh Babu and his wife Namrata Shirodkar.
The Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls resulted in many of them losing their votes. This includes popular film celebrities, entrepreneurs and sportspersons. In Hyderabad, many VVIPs have reportedly received notices from the Election Commission due to SIR.
According to reports, Mahesh Babu, SS Rajamouli, sportspersons Pullela Gopichand, Saina Nehwal, VVS Laxman, and Mithali Raj, prominent business personalities Divi’s Murali Krishna Prasad and Apollo’s Upasana Konidela were among them who received the EC’s notices as part of the SIR. Several other leading names from sports, films and business also figure in the list.
The names of several prominent personalities have appeared in the Election Commission’s “List of Persons to Whom Notices Have Been Issued (After Draft Roll Published on 17-08-2026)”. The list includes many from the film industry such as actors Mahesh Babu and his wife Namrata Shirodkar, SS Rajamouli, Venkatesh Daggubati and his two daughters, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Vijay Deverakonda and his brother Anand Deverakonda, among others, are also named.
On the work front, Mahesh Babu and S S Rajamouli have teamed up for a magnum opus Varanasi and all set to conquer the world.
