Rush at Hyderabad Bus Stations Ahead of Second Phase of Panchayat Polls in Telangana

Hyderabad: Ahead of the second phase of Panchayat elections in Telangana, scheduled to be held on Sunday, a large number of people living in Hyderabad have begun travelling to their native villages to exercise their right to vote.

As a result, heavy rush was witnessed at major transit points in the city, including the Jubilee Bus Station and Uppal bus stop. The Uppal area turned bustling with voters heading to their villages, leading to severe traffic congestion on the route. Vehicles were seen moving at a slow pace due to the increased rush.
In the second phase of the Panchayat elections, polling will be held for the posts of sarpanches in 3,911 panchayats and for 29,903 ward member positions where candidates were not elected unanimously.
