Advance reservations for TGSRTC buses can be booked via the corporation’s website.

Hyderabad:The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) will operate 7,000 special buses during the Dasara festival, including 1,312 services from the Greater Hyderabad zone.
The corporation said services would be scheduled to meet heavy passenger rush on October 9, 10, 16 and 17, with adequate arrangements for return traffic on October 25 and 26. From the city, special buses will run from busy areas such as MGBS, JBS, Uppal (Nalla Cheruvu), Aramghar, LB Nagar Cross Roads, KPHB, Bowenpally and Gachibowli.
RTC clarified that these special buses will be charged at 1.5 times the regular fare, in line with GO No. 16 issued in 2003 authorising fare adjustment to cover diesel and operational costs when occupancy is low.
Managing director Y. Nagi Reddy said that under the state government’s Mahalakshmi scheme, free bus travel for women will continue as usual on Palle Velugu, Express, City Ordinary and Metro Express services, both regular and special, during the festival.
