RTC Driver Rushes Ailing Passenger to Hospital in Jangaon
Doctors said timely intervention helped avert a serious outcome

WARANGAL: An RTC driver diverted his bus to rush a 66-year-old passenger to hospital after the later suffered a medical emergency in Jangaon district on Thursday.
The incident occurred near the Station Ghanpur underbridge when Pulasula Uppalaiah, a resident of Lakshminarayanapuram in Palakurthi mandal, collapsed after suffering a seizure while travelling to Hanamkonda.
Driver Kishan Rao of Warangal-1 depot initially attempted to call for a 108 ambulance. As it was not immediately available, he diverted the bus and drove directly to the nearest government hospital.
Medical staff provided emergency treatment and stabilised the passenger. Doctors said timely intervention helped avert a serious outcome. The elderly man is recovering.
RTC officials appreciated the driver’s response.
