RSS, Gurudwaras To Mark 350th Shaheedi Samagam Of Guru Tegh Bahadur

HYDERABAD: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, in association with gurudwaras is organising a seminar to commemorate the 350th Shaheedi Samagam (martyrdom) of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, the 9th guru of Sikhism, on December 14.
This Samagam will also honour the supreme sacrifice of Bhai Mati Das, Bhai Sati Das and Bhai Dayala, who gave their lives to protect Hinduism and humanity, preserve the freedom of faith, and safeguard innocent people during the oppressive era of Aurangzeb’s rule, a statement said.
The event will be held from 6 pm to 9 pm at Jal Vihar, P.V. Narsimha Rao Marg (Necklace Road) on Sunday.
The event will be held under the leadership of Sardar Gurcharan Singh Bagga, chairman, central committee of Gurudwara Saheban, Telangana. It will feature an exhibition on Sikh history, balidaan (sacrifice), and heritage, kirtan and katha by renowned Ragi Jathas and scholars, and will conclude with Ardas and Guru ka Langar.
Bagga said that the seminar aimed to promote unity and mutual respect between communities, sharing Guru Sahib’s message of courage, justice, and compassion.
Speakers, including RSS leader Indresh Kumar and BJP spokesperson R.P. Singh, will address the audience.
The Sikh community speakers including former IAS officer S. Harpreet Singh, Prof. Dr Assa Singh Ghuman of Kapurthala and S. Jagveer Singh Khalsa.
