RSS Chief Bhagwat To Address Global Hindu Meet in Hyderabad

The programme begins on December 25 with inauguration by Swami Govind Dev Giri, treasurer of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust

Hyderabad: RSS sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat and sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale will attend the seventh Vishwa Sangh Shibir, a gathering of international Hindu organisations, at Kanha Shanti Vanam here from December 25 to 29.
The event, organised by New Delhi-based Shri Vishwa Niketan, a trust dedicated to promoting Bharatiya culture among NRIs and PIOs, is expected to attract nearly 2,000 delegates from over 75 countries, including members of Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh, Sanatan Dharma Swayamsevak Sangh, Hindu Sevai Sangam, Sewa International, Samskrita Bharati and Vishwa Hindu Parishad.
Niketan secretary Shyam Parande said that the event has been taking place every five years since its inception in Bengaluru in 1990. The theme of the current Shibir is ‘Dharme Sarvam Pratishthitam (Dharma is the foundation of everything)’.
The programme begins on December 25 with inauguration by Swami Govind Dev Giri, treasurer of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. Hosabale, second-in-command at the RSS, will deliver the keynote address. RSS chief Bhagwat will address the delegates at the valedictory function on December 28.
The 2015 Indore edition centered on “Hindu Jagega Toh Vishwa Jagega” (When Hindus awaken, the world will awaken), with sessions on Hindu philosophy, environment, and ancient sciences. The Hyderabad edition at Kanha Shanti Vanam resuming after 2015, skipping in 2020 due to Covid pandemic restrictions
