Rs 569 crore released under Rythu Bharosa: Tummala

Hyderabad: Agriculture minister Tummala Nageswara Rao on Monday said as part of Rythu Bharosa Rs.569 crore was deposited into the bank accounts of 4,41,911 farmers on Republic Day. The amount covered 9,48,333 acres in 577 villages across 563 mandals.
Nageswara Rao said, “The scheme was rolled out to honour the promise made during the polls. All deserving farmers will receive Rythu Bharosa from the government. It was launched on the occasion of the 76th Republic Day by the Chief Minister directly. Every acre of land being cultivated will receive Rs.6,000. The scheme has, as of now, been rolled out in one village per mandal.”
The distribution happened in revenue villages. In some mandals where there were more than one village under the gram panchayat, more than one village was selected for the distribution, the minister said.
The highest disbursal of Rs.46.93 crore was done in Nalgonda and Nizamabad districts with around 35,000 farmers in both. The second highest distribution of Rs.39.07 crores happened in Bhadradri Kothagudem and Jagtial districts to around 22,000 farmers in both.
