Rowdy Sheeter Suri Brutally Murdered in Meerpet
The Meerpet police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
Hyderabad: A notorious rowdy-sheeter, Nandanavanam Suri, was brutally murdered within the limits of the Meerpet Police Station on Monday night.
According to police, Suri had multiple criminal cases registered against him in the Warangal, Hyderabad, and Malkajgiri Commissionerates. Several of these cases were reportedly linked to disputes involving murders of his wife and his brother-in-law, Salman.
As per preliminary information, Suri had gone to Nandanavanam to attend the birthday celebrations of his second wife's brother. Allegedly learning about his presence there, Salman's brother, Afroz, reached the venue, sprayed pepper spray into Suri's eyes, and attacked him with a sharp weapon, inflicting fatal injuries.
Local residents rushed the critically injured Suri to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
The Meerpet police have registered a case and launched an investigation. Efforts are underway to trace the accused and ascertain the exact motive behind the murder.
