Row Over Eating Fish Curry Claims Chhattisgarh’s Man Life In Nagole, 2 Held

The police arrested the two accused and remanded them to judicial custody

Hyderabad: A fight over eating fish curry claimed the life of a 24-year-old person, Deviram, at Nagole on Tuesday.

The deceased two friends – Mukesh and Yogesh – killed Deviram with two separate knives after he ate the fish curry and offered the remaining to a dog. The trio belonging to Chhattisgarh was working in a mineral water treatment plant, and were staying in a rented portion in Nagole.

On April 20, Deviram returned home early from the plant and ate fish curry with rice. He then offered the remaining curry to the dog in the locality. When Mukesh and Yogesh returned home at night and decided to have dinner.

When they opened the bowl, they found it empty and enquired with Deviram, who replied in a harsh note stating that he ate the curry and offered the remaining to the dog. In spite of asking him not to shout at them, Deviram did not relent, inviting the wrath of his friends.

Enraged over Deviram’s outburst, Mukesh and Yogesh brought two knives from the kitchen and attacked him resulting in serious stab wounds. However, Deviram mustered courage and managed to escape from the house.

He came to the main road with stab wounds and collapsed. On receiving information, the police rushed to the spot and shifted him to the hospital where he died while undergoing treatment on Tuesday night. Based on a complaint, the police booked a murder case and arrested Mukesh and Yogesh, Nagole Inspector A Surya Nayak.

The two arrested persons informed the police that Deviram used to shout at them regularly after returning home from the plant at night in a drunken condition. He used to repeatedly say that they got the job in the water plant because of his blessings only.

“He (Deviram) yelled at us on April 20 in a similar manner forcing us to teach him a lesson,” Mukesh and Yogesh informed the police.
