Revanth’s Irrigation Project Claims False: Harish

Hyderabad: Former minister T. Harish Rao demanded that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy apologise to people of the state for his ‘blatant lies’ in the Assembly, over irrigation projects.

He dared Revanth Reddy to place his resignation with Lok Bhavan, if he has any ‘self-respect’ left, following BRS’ ‘expose of falsehoods’ related to first Apex Council meeting held in 2016.

The BRS leader who gave a powerpoint presentation at the Telangana Bhavan in the presence of BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao and party leaders strongly refuted claims of ruling Congress.

He said that it was high time Revanth Reddy ‘slaps himself’ (as a mark of remorse), seeking apologies from people for the ‘lies’. While placing the copy of the document related to first Apex Council meeting next to the video clip of Revanth Reddy who was reading out parts of the document in Legislative Council on January 3, Harish Rao noted that Chief Minister ‘ intentionally skipped’ parts of the letter to mislead people.

“A total of 18 letters were sent to Centre on Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Project. KCR also wrote for stopping Pothireddypadu. Not only Revanth is distorting the facts by reading out incomplete documents in the Assembly, but even Uttam Kumar Reddy’s claims of telemetry are false as KCR insisted on installation of the devices for all major projects,” Harish Rao said.

Responding to AP government statement refuting Revanth Reddy’s claims on Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Project, the BRS senior leader said that the claims of BRS stand vindicated.
