Revanth Urges Centre to Sanction IIM for Hyderabad

CM tells Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan that land and infrastructure are ready; seeks more central schools for Telangana

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has requested Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to approve the establishment of an Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Hyderabad. The Chief Minister informed the Union Minister that the state government has already identified 200 acres of land for the proposed institute and is fully prepared to provide all necessary infrastructure.

Revanth Reddy also said that a transit campus is ready to begin classes immediately, once the required approvals are granted by the Centre. He assured that the state would extend all support needed for the early establishment and smooth functioning of the IIM.
In addition, the Chief Minister urged the Centre to sanction nine Kendriya Vidyalayas and 16 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas in Telangana, in line with the increase in the number of districts. He stated that the state government is ready to provide land and other facilities for setting up these central educational institutions.
