Revanth to Visit Medigadda on April 20
The Chief Minister, on April 20, will be accompanied by irrigation minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, and senior irrigation department officials.
Hyderabad:Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is expected to visit the Medigadda barrage on Godavari river on April 20 for a first hand review of steps being taken to speed up preparations for taking up eventual repairs of the barrage.
It may be recalled that the Chief Minister, on April 9, chaired a review on Medigadda barrage related issues and directed the irrigation department to step up all work related to the barrage repairs. Following this meeting, the irrigation department drew up a schedule for the required works, including geophysical and geotechnical tests, and preparation of designs for the repairs.
Revanth Reddy had directed that the actual repair works should begin this year and all tests should be completed before the monsoon season results in increased flows in Godavari river. The Chief Minister, on April 20, will be accompanied by irrigation minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, and senior irrigation department officials.
